The materials handling system is based on a stacker crane automated storage and retrieval system. Six specialised cranes, 34 meters high, are used to transport the product containers to the assigned storage locations. An overhead monorail system transfers the steel stillages between work areas. Each monorail section is equipped with chain conveyors used to lift pallets and stillages onto and off of the system. |
