HOISTING AND HANDLING THE MACHINE The machine should be hoisted by means of a suitable crane, securing strong steel ropes or chains to the eye bolts (A, fig. 1) located on the top part of the machine. Gently lift the load and lay it onto two wooden planks placed on the rollers. Caution should be used when the machine is being "wheeled" to the place of installation. The machine can then be placed in the position best suited to its working requirements with the aid of a fork lift truck by inserting the fork under the machine base. Run strong ropes through the two eye bolts and fasten the ropes to the uprights of lift truck to prevent the machine from overturning while it is being handled. |
